Friends of Wisconsin State Parks are asking for your vote in this year’s contest categories. If you are a camper, biker, hunter, hiker, angler, or park visitor, cast your vote for your favorite state park, forest, trail, or recreation area.
The winning parks, forests, trails, and recreation areas will be presented with a Gold Seal Award in November 2021.
The statewide Friends of Wisconsin State Parks organization runs the Gold Seal Award program each year to highlight Wisconsin’s parks, trails, and forests.
The 2021 Gold Seal Contest Categories are:
- Best state park system property for family recreation
- Best state park system property for a sunrise hike
- Best state park system property for hike-in or bike-in campsites
- Best state park system property for viewing small wildlife
- Best state park system trail for biking with children
- Best state park system property for observing butterflies
- Best state park system property for flying kites
- Best state park system property to do a strenuous workout
- Best state park system property to learn about astronomy
- Best state park system property for viewing historic indigenous mounds
