DESCRIPTION:\n\n	Saturday September 12 – 1 – 3 PM\nDo you know how to find your way using only a map and compass? In Nature Navigator, Girl Scouts will explore the essential skills and tools used to navigate the great outdoors – from reading the landscape to plotting a precise course.\nGirls will start with the basics: cardinal directions, reading trail signs, and interpreting topographical maps to understand the terrain before they even set foot on the trail. Next, they’ll master compass skills – learning the parts of a compass, adjusting for declination, and using bearings and triangulation to pinpoint their location on a map.\nTo put it all together, girls will have the chance to test their new skills on the trails at Lapham Peak!\nWhether you’re hitting the trails or exploring your local park, Nature Navigator will give you the confidence and skills to find your way anywhere.\nThe program is $5 per girl.\nNote:  This is a Girl Scouts only program. A Wisconsin State Park pass is required. Girls must be accompanied by a troop leader or other responsible adult and the troop must maintain the adult/girl ratio required by the Girl Scouts organization. Troop leaders are FREE.
