LAPHAM PEAK COLORAMA
37th Annual 5K/10K RUN/WALK
and SMOKEY BEAR FUN RUN
It was a perfect day at Lapham Peak, Oct 3, 2026 - a beautiful fall run at Lapham Peak State Forest. Run on wide, well-groomed, ski/hiking trails. The 5K course toured the middle level of the park. The 10K course followed the outer perimeter trail. The Smokey Bear Fun Run course circled the pond at Homestead Hollow. The 5K Walk was on the 2.5K newly re-paved accessible trail. Treats were provided afterwards in the Mike Fort Shelter where awards were presented after the races.
Proceeds will benefit projects here at Lapham Peak; this year we are specifically helping to fund a new accessible fishing pier and trail here at the Park's Lupo Pond near our new Lapham Lodge (construction to happen in 2027).

We had a Beautiful day for the 33rd Annual Lapham Peak Colorama Run/Walk on Oct 1, 2022!
Over 250 participants joined us at the Park for the 5K and 10K and Smokey Bear Fun Run.

We had over 200 racer on a nice day, with just a small amount of rain early in the day before the race.

We had over 268 participants this year! Thank you to everyone who came out even with the wet conditions to make this another great event for the runners/walkers/fun run and as a fund raiser for the Friends of Lapham Peak so that we can continue to fund projects in the Park here, especially our snow making operations!
