LAPHAM PEAK COLORAMA

37th Annual 5K/10K RUN/WALK

and SMOKEY BEAR FUN RUN

October 3, 2026 - 10:00 AM

EXPERIENCE a beautiful fall run at Lapham Peak State Forest. Run on wide, well-groomed, ski/hiking trails.  The 5K course will tour the middle level of the park.  The 10K course follows the outer perimeter trail. The Smokey Bear Fun Run course circles the pond at Homestead Hollow.   Walk on the 2.5K newly re-paved accessible trail suitable for wheelchairs or strollers, or the 5k route. Visit the Nature Center or Butterfly Garden on your walk. Treats and possible food trucks will be offered after the race.   Participants will receive a choice of t-shirts and custom-designed Lapham Peak awards for run winners.  Proceeds will benefit the projects here at Lapham Peak.  WI DNR yearly vehicle sticker or $10 special event fee required.

REGISTRATION:  8:00 A.M. TO 9:45         SMOKEY BEAR REGISTRATION UP TO TIME OF RACE

5K AND 10K:      10:00 A.M.         FEES: $35  TO SEPT.18      $40 (AFTER Sept. 18^th)

2.5K/5K WALK   10:05 A.M.        FEES:  $25 

FUN RUN            11:30 A.M.         FREE  t-shirts may be purchased for $5

AWARD CATEGORIES:  Custom-designed awards to the first three places in each age category plus  overall winner’s awards

5K:  12 & under; 13-19; 5 years to 70; 70-79; 80 & over.    10K: 19 & under; 5 years to 70 & over
