Animals are Tough! – August 8

Animals are Tough!

Discover the incredible secrets of survival in the wild! In this hands-on program, held at the Hausmann Nature Center, we explore the fascinating world of animal adaptations. From the protective armor of shells and the silent precision of talons to the chemical defense of musk and the specialized design of teeth, you’ll learn exactly what it takes for Wisconsin’s wildlife to thrive in an ever-changing environment.

In a special collaboration with the Wildlife in Need Center, participants will be introduced to live native animals, providing a rare up-close look at the "tough" features that help these creatures hunt, hide, and survive. This interactive session is perfect for curious minds eager to understand the science behind nature's most impressive biological tools.
