Here's a unique gift / memorial -- an engraved brick for the Butterfly Garden Walkway! An engraved brick may be to honor, or in memory of someone with a 4x8" brick for $175 or an 8x8" brick for $350. Check out the Butterfly Garden on your next walk through Lapham Peak.

Engraved bricks may be purchased on an ongoing basis and added to the walkway as it expands throughout the garden.
Due to increased costs to make and obtain these bricks, as of 10/1/26, the costs for each are now: $175 for a 4x8" or $350 for an 8x8" brick. Our Brochure will be updated soon.
Memorial Benches (Sorry, no more spots currently available)

Memorial Benches
Lapham Peak has about 100 benches throughout the park. In the past, people could donate a bench in someone’s honor or memory. Donors could choose a bench with one plaque for a $3,000 donation or two plaques for $5,000. The Friends made the benches, and park staff helped coordinate plaque wording and placement. New memorial benches are not currently available. We may offer a limited number of bench opportunities in the future, possibly through an auction, but none are available at this time.
At the end of an existing bench’s term, the donor will have the option to extend it for another term with an additional donation. If they decline, the location may become available to someone new, and the bench will be refreshed or rebuilt. As of 2026, most existing benches have about seven years remaining on their initial 15-year terms.

If renewing a bench, please send a check with an explanation to the park (we'd rather not take credit card payments for these, as the fees are large and take away from the work we're trying to accomplish with all of these donations)
