Mini Explorers Midsummer Flora Hike – June 22
Saturday June 22nd - 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Join Wisconsin Master Naturalist Meg Shad on a guided hike around Lapham's Plantation Path, Kame Terrace Trail, and Schoeninger's Savannah! This relaxed hike is perfect for families with children, but all ages are welcome! During this hike, outdoor enthusiasts will identify and learn about the seasonal native flora blooming in our state park. It's a great opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the environment around us. Don't miss out on this chance to explore and discover the beauty of our state park.
We will meet at the Hausmann Nature Center and walk the handicapped accessible path and then participants will be expected to drive over to Evergreen Shelter where we will continue our hike on the west side of Hwy C.
Trail Expectations: Some hilly terrain, established trails, total mileage ~2 miles
A recommended $5 donation the day of the event would be appreciated.
