Wisconsin Turtles – September 6
Saturday September 6th - 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Back by popular demand, Friends of Lapham Peak is hosting Waukesha County Land Conservancy to talk about Wisconsin’s 11 species of turtles. These amazing reptiles play a vital role in maintaining the health of our freshwater habitats by assisting with nutrient cycling and sustaining balanced food webs. Sadly, many species face declining populations due to human-caused threats. Come learn what you can do to help these amazing creatures and their habitats as a step toward protecting them for future generations.
This family friendly event will be at 1 pm on Saturday, September 6th at the Hausmann Nature Center at Lapham Peak State Park and will feature a few native turtle species.
If you're interested in attending, please sign up for the event.
