Wisconsin Turtles
Saturday, September 10 from 10-11 am
Join us this fall with Wisconsin Master Naturalist and wildlife educator, Helen Holtz, as she talks about Wisconsin’s 11 species of turtles. These amazing reptiles play a vital role in maintaining the health of our freshwater habitats by assisting with nutrient cycling and sustaining balanced food webs. Sadly, many species face decliningpopulations due to human-caused threats. Come learn what you can do to help these amazing creatures and their habitats as a step toward
protecting them for future generations. This family friendly event will be at 10AM on September 10th at the Hausmann Nature Center and will feature a few native turtle species.
Donations are encouraged to go towards seasonal turtle crossing signs and wildlife rehabilitation.
If you’re interested in attending, please sign up for the event.
