August 2024, Lapham Lodge Taking Shape!

Generac E-Cycling Grant for FLP

January 2024, Generac Power Systems of Waukesha Wisconsin, provided the Friends of Lapham Peak with a grant from the proceeds of their e-cycling efforts.  Kelly S, Community Programs Manager contacted John Hillmer, president of the FLP and they arranged a time when leaders from Generac could present a check to the Friends on January 30th. 2024 – Candlelight Hike/Ski at Lapham Peak

January 27, 6pm-8:45 pm – it was a fun night, a little warm and wet, but many people came out and had a great time either hiking on the paved trail or in the snow.  Refreshments were available at the Trecker Lodge, and nice warm bonfires were provided outside Trecker and Evergreen too. A Proposal to allow Bow Hunting of Deer and Turkeys at Lapham Peak has been Removed from the current plans, pr-03-20-adoption From the notes in that document: Comments were received both for and against bow hunting at Lapham Peak; more than 500 comments in total.
