Firewood Available for Donations
We have firewood racks at: Evergreen (2) for the firepit and wood burning stove We also have a firewood rack at the Campsite And we have a new firepit and firewood rack at Homestead Hollow’s Trecker Lodge. We request a donation for the firewood; those donations ALL go to helping us maintain the prairies and woodlands at Lapham Peak! SEPT 22, 2022 – PRESS RELEASE FEDERAL GRANT TO HELP FUND NEW LAPHAM LODGE GRANT ACCELERATES CONSTRUCTION MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the Friends of Lapham Peak – Kettle Moraine State Forest received a $1.3 million grant for construction of a new year-round, multi-use facility at the park. New “Lapham Peak Interactive” Website Featured on WTMJ4
Our new website, LaphamPeakInteractive.org, accessed primarily using QR-codes found on signs posted within the Park, was recently featured on the Morning Blend on WTMJ4. Friends of Lapham Peak Board Member, and the driver behind this new site, Melissa Jarecki, was interviewed and explained the motivation behind the site how we hope to engage our visitors at the Park with it. Lapham Lodge Approved for Fundraising
