Delafield Tourism spotlights Lapham Peak

Parks, Hiking, Skiing, featuring Lapham Peak, alongside other fun and exciting things to do, see, dine, recreate, etc., in Delafield’s new Tourism Video.  Lapham Peak’s new Lapham Lodge (with it’s recent grand opening in May, 2025) is anticipated to be a destination with an important positive impact on the greater Delafield area and tourism economics. On May 17, 2025, the new multi-purpose year-round facility at Lapham Peak, Lapham Lodge, was opened to the public, and donated to the DNR by the Friends of Lapham Peak!

2025 Lapham Loppet a Huge Success

A record number of registrations (over 180 adults) and over 50 middle-school students, participated in the 2025 Lapham Loppet on January 18th!  It was a sunny morning, about 20 degrees, 50% humidity, 14 MPH winds. Race Results in time order: 2025 Lapham Loppet Results by Time  

Happy New Year – 1st Day Hikes

The Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance provided 3 guided First Day Hikes at Lapham Peak on January 1st starting at 11am.  The weather was wonderful, and over 200 participants joined in the hikes.  Photos from one of the hikes are shown here (photos courtesy of Pat Witkowski)

December 3, Skiing at Lapham Peak has Begun!

Snowmaking began on Saturday morning, November 30th, with an extremely cold weekend!  By Sunday night and Monday morning, a good amount of snow had been created and the pond was too low to continue!
