This event’s profits stay here at Lapham Peak and help off-set the costs of managing, burning, planting, etc., the Prairies at Lapham Peak. 2026 Candlelight Hike & Ski Saturday, January 31st It was a beautiful evening at Lapham Peak, not too cold, and we estimated that over 750 people attended.  We had 2 trails, and some people did both.  Both trails were lit with luminaries. First Day Hike

The Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance will again be hosting hikes at Lapham Peak, starting at 11am on January 1st. Three hike options (lengths) will be led by members from the IATA.  Follow the signs in the Park to the event A bonfire with hot chocolate will be provided

Lapham Peak Volunteer Receives Award

Michael Neimon received a 2025 Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Invasive Species Action Award, which was presented at the Wisconsin Cranberry Research Station near Black River Falls, on June 4, 2025. Mike is one of Lapham Peak State Park’s regular “Buckthorn Buster” volunteers.  He was nominated by John Hillmer, who is the park’s Habitat Restoration Coordinator and President of the Friends of Lapham Peak. Delafield Tourism spotlights Lapham Peak

Lapham Lodge is OPEN!

On May 17, 2025, the new multi-purpose year-round facility at Lapham Peak, Lapham Lodge, was opened to the public, and donated to the DNR by the Friends of Lapham Peak!
