WISCONSIN FRIENDS EXPLORE CHALLENGE Increase healthy habits in fun challenging ways. The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and Wisconsin Friends Explore challenge visitors to explore Wisconsin state park properties in new and/or fun ways, increase healthy habits, and connect with family and friends. Friends of Wisconsin State Parks 2021 Ends Friday, August 31, 2021 Friends of Wisconsin State Parks are asking for your vote in this year’s contest categories. 2021 VIRTUAL BIRKEBEINER SKI RACE The Wisconsin State Park System is excited to partner with the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation for the 2021 Birkebeiner (Birkie) Ski Race. This year, the Birkie will be held virtually. Join in the fun by completing the race anywhere between Feb. 20 to 28. Learn more about how to participate virtually here. January 2021, Record Attendance!
Over 84,000 visitors came to Lapham Peak in January! We believe this is an all time high for one month. Even with COVID19 restrictions, its been an incredible month for the park, especially with the skiing conditions we’ve been able to provide. We do have to close the park to additional traffic from time to time, when our capacity is reached due to COVID19 restrictions, but once people leave, we will re-open the park to …
